So, with that background out of the way, here's my question: What good alternatives are there out there? All I'm really looking for is something that will allow me to convert multiple mp3s into a single, chaptered m4b file, ideally something free. Unfortunately it doesn't look like there's going to be a fix. The forum is closed to non-registered users and registration is disabled. Chapter and verse is pretty clearly out of development (last update July 2012). However, it no longer works, and it didn't take much research to figure out the problem is it requires quicktime for the process, which I no longer allow on my systems (for what I hope are obvious reasons). For years now I've been using Chapter and Verse ( ), which is free, intuitive, and in almost all ways wonderful. I put them on my phone as m4bs, which frequently requires converting mp3s into that format. I have a long commute (over an hour each way) and spend the time listening to audiobooks. (Preface: This is only obliquely job related, but the spiceworks community is the most knowledgeable techie group I know of, so I figure if anyone has a solution, it'll be one of y'all)
